The Prosser House is a passion project of a Chef and the realization that now is the time to get back to basics.
We learned of Prosser, Washington and came to see this amazing place firsthand. A large part of the restaurant was once the home that was built for the first Mayor of Prosser, Mr. E.W. Taylor in 1896. After years of travels and cooking in many places we have proudly joined the Prosser community to bring you The Prosser House. We will create a restaurant utilizing the local ingredients of all seasons, transforming them into enjoyable style of home cooking.
It is our wish The Prosser House will be the place locals will embrace and people traveling will not want to miss, by giving everyone a genuinely warm and comfortable place to enjoy.

The Prosser House by John Gray situated in the heart of the Washington Wine Country. Located right on Wine Country Road, which is the main thoroughfare taking you from the town of Prosser to all the area’s most important wineries and tasting rooms such as Alexandria Nicole Cellars, Mercer Bros., 14 Hands and many more.
The Prosser House has made its home since November of 2020 in what was once built as the home of the first mayor of Prosser, E.W. Taylor in 1896. In 2014, the home was renovated and expanded to accommodate a fully operational restaurant.
The restaurant areas are divided into two indoor areas that seat approximately 30-40 persons each.
The outdoor dining areas begin with the house’s classic style wrap around terrace that is open for outdoor diners year-round accommodating approximately 40 persons.
The newest addition is an area we refer to simply as The Yard. The Yard is a grassy area enclosed with repurposed wine vines and wine barrels to create the perfect setting for our monthly whiskey & cigar events as well as winemaker dinners & small weddings. This area alone is perfect for a single table seating of 50 persons or a party setting of 80 persons. We have combined the entire outdoor area for an amazing gathering of over 100 persons.
The entire experience of The Prosser House aside from the great food and warm service is enhanced by warm interior colors, wood accents and a collection of historical photos that allow you to feel a small part of the long history of the town of Prosser. The Prosser House will allow you and your guests the opportunity to enjoy thoughtfully prepared food paired with a great bar of fine spirits, wines and beer on tap, while in the warm comfort of our home.
